Peace!November 2025

The Lago Vista and Point Venture Lions Clubs asked our art students to compete in a poster competition, where students were asked to create a poster about what "Peace: Together as One" means to them. The Lions Clubs come in to judge the competition, award cash prizes and the winning posters continue on to compete in the National competition. We are pleased to announce the following winners from LVMS:

From Point Venture Lions Club:

  • 1st place: Starry Dannelley
  • 2nd place: Hillary Vazquez
  • 3rd place: Sadie Blakely
  • Honorable Mention: Lesly Perez-Rodriquez  

Lago Vista Lions Club:

2025-2026 Middle School Virtual Challenge

We had many students participate in the 2025-2026 Middle School Virtual Challenge Meets. This branch of the A+ UIL Academic Competition hosts around 4,100 students to compete in three fall events virtually. Each event has 200 to more than 500 participants and awards are given as follows:

Individual Awards in each Event

  • Overall Top 50
  • Grade Level Top 40
  • Classification Top 40

Team Awards in each Event

  • Overall Top 20
  • Classification Top 20

Vikings competed in Calculator, Listening, Mathematics, Number Sense, Science, and Spelling events. Our award winners from the 2nd Virtual Meet are as follows:

Cross Country Finishes With District Championships! October 7, 2025

Our Cross-Country teams competed at their district race in Lampasas on Tuesday, October 7th. We are so incredibly proud of the hard work and effort these athletes put in every day to get better! Below are the highlights from the meet.

8th grade girls raced against 68 runners and 8 teams. Our top 5 scoring runners were Camila Berrios, Bennett Buster, Summer Nied, Liata Keehl, and Maylee Leatham. Also competing for our 8th grade girls were Lillian Kamenzind, Cora Larkin, and Tatiana Mata. Our 8th-grade girls placed 4th as a team.

7th grade girls raced against 76 runners and 8 teams. They earned 2nd place overall. Congratulations to Isabel Currey, the 7th-grade girls’ DISTRICT CHAMPION. Completing the top 5 were Adisyn Luedeman in 8th place, Penny Chadis in 9th place, Scout Henderson in 13th place, and Adalina Drake in 18th place. Also competing for the Lady Vikings were Vivian Berrios, Ava Byrd, Presley Crouch, Alice Karoukina, Maddie Mathes, Ava Manley, Stella Potvin, Lara Sund, Delia Tabor, and Panya Vahedi.

8th grade boys competed against 80 runners and 8 total teams. Congratulations to Tyler Tarlton, the 8th grade boys’ DISTRICT CHAMPION! Completing the top 5 runners for the meet were Carter Brannen, Ethan Munoz, Ozzie Darling, Nicholas Cordaway, and Cadeyn Beeson. Also completing for the team were Nicholas Cordaway, Silas Gambrell, Cirilo Haynes, Liam O’Bryant, and Jasper Wright.

Congratulations to the 7th grade boys team, they are this year’s TEAM DISTRICT CHAMPIONS! They scored a total of 27 points by putting all 5 scoring runners in the top 10! Tucker Tarlton in 2nd place, Myer Tullis in 4th place, Sam Roberts in 6th place, Alexi Martinez in 7th place, and Simon Engler in 8th place. Also competing with the team were Walker Bostic, Tommy Burlew, Brendyn Crabb, Ezekiel Finch, Beckham Gold, Sullivan Ham, Chance Haynes, Lucas O’Bryant, Gage Ramirez, Lazarus Smith, and Matthew Tomaszewski.
